Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

This role involves overseeing and reviewing the work of junior bookkeepers, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and managing month-end close timelines across multiple client portfolios.

In Short

• Lead preparation and finalization of month-end close packages.
• Manage monthly close calendar across ~20–30 client portfolios.
• Monitor deadlines and drive accountability across the bookkeeping team.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients.
• Coach junior bookkeepers for improved accuracy and ownership.
• Maintain structured financial documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements and training initiatives.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero.
• Knowledge of US GAAP or Canadian ASPE.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Professional communication skills in English.
• Comfortable working in remote teams across time zones.
• No degree or CPA required, but technical competence is essential.
