Export Compliance Manager - Remote

Overview

The Export Compliance Manager will lead compliance efforts and support global operations, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure adherence to U.S. regulations while enabling smooth, compliant international trade.

In Short

• Develop and maintain the company’s Export Compliance Manual and SOPs.
• Establish, implement, and continuously improve export compliance policies and procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely EEI submissions and documentation retention.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for U.S. government inquiries.
• Lead penalty mitigation processes and compliance enhancements.
• Monitor changes in export laws and update policies.
• Provide training on compliance requirements and documentation standards.
• Conduct internal audits and self-assessments for compliance risks.
• Review AES filings and generate compliance metrics for management.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to confirm client filing authorizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in export compliance or trade regulations.
• Strong knowledge of EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and AES filing requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
• Superior interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Familiarity with Cargo Wise and ACE reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
