Principal Product Design Architect - Remote

Overview

As a Principal Product Architect within Magic Leap's Hardware organization, you will lead the technical architecture of a next-generation augmented reality device and have significant impact in enabling the ecosystem.

In Short

• Lead the end-to-end mechanical design for a device or system
• Push the state-of-the-art in design, materials, and assembly processes
• Convert the Industrial Design team's vision to mechanical designs
• Work across the entire product development lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams from NTI to high volume manufacturing

Requirements

• Over 15 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering design
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master-level CAD design experience
• Expert level in Creo is preferred
• Understanding of FEA for structural and thermal simulation
• Experience designing for Human Factors and user experience
• Experience with DFM and in designing, prototyping, testing, to shipping high volume products
• Strong influence and collaboration skills
