In Short

• Support NOAAs Southeast For-Hire Integrated Electronic Reporting (SEFHIER) program.
• Analyze fisheries data to inform management actions.
• Utilize R or SAS for data manipulation and reporting.
• Write SQL queries for data extraction.
• Ensure data quality and recommend solutions for errors.
• Document code for clarity and replicability.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams for fishery management.
• Coordinate with federal and state data collection partners.
• Work independently and monitor data effectively.
• Evaluate new statistical methods for data collection.

Requirements

• M.S. in data analytics or statistics.
• 6+ years of experience with R statistical language.
• Knowledge of statistical theories and principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
