Production and Operations Manager - Remote

Overview

We are a fast-growing startup at an exciting stage, moving from research and development into launching our first product on the market. As part of this transition, we are building up our production capabilities and supply chain operations—and we are looking for a hands-on, proactive individual who is eager to take full ownership.

In Short

• Oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
• Ensure fabrication processes and work instructions fulfill production standards.
• Define and monitor production KPIs such as OEE, yield, scrap, and delivery performance.
• Build and support a multidisciplinary team of operators and technicians.
• Define and manage inventories, intralogistics, and warehouse operations.
• Develop and implement strategies for a resilient and cost-effective supply chain.
• Implement compliance requirements in production and supply chain.
• Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of production and inventory data.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in production, supply chain, and logistics operations.
• Hands-on experience with ERP / MES systems, production planning and KPI monitoring.
• Experience applying improvement methods such as lean manufacturing.
• Experience in optimizing supply chain and managing partnerships with suppliers.
• Good communication skills in both English and German.
• Effective communicator across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
