Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer at LoyaltyLion, you will be building data applications and delivering high-quality code with performance and scalability in mind. You will collaborate with the Tech Lead to design architecture and continuously improve your skills to achieve the best results for the team.

In Short

• Build data applications focusing on performance and scalability.
• Design and maintain a solid Data Lake and Data Warehouse.
• Collaborate with Product and Infrastructure teams.
• Work in an Agile environment as part of a SCRUM team.
• Deliver clean, well-tested, scalable code.
• Participate in peer reviews to ensure code quality.
• Build data models for efficient analytics.
• Utilize technologies like Python, SQL, dbt, and Superset.
• Continuously improve personal and team skills.
• Support the company’s growth by building the data platform.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience with Python or Scala.
• 3+ years experience designing and implementing data platforms.
• Experience with dbt, Superset, Apache Airflow.
• Experience with ingestion platforms like Fivetran, dlt, or Airbyte is a plus.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming platforms is a plus.
• Experience with AWS Athena, Hive, SparkSQL, or similar technologies is a plus.
• Experience in designing data lakes in Amazon S3 is a plus.
• Experience with Hadoop, Apache Spark, Flink or similar technologies is a plus.
• Experience with data quality processes is a plus.
• Prior experience in eCommerce is a plus.
