Overview

The Billing Specialist will manage the client billing process at Lowenstein Sandler, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client specifications while fostering professional relationships.

In Short

• Ownership of the billing cycle for client matters.
• Review and ensure compliance with outside counsel guidelines.
• Prepare accurate bills according to fee arrangements.
• Coordinate the prebill to final bill process.
• Collaborate with eBilling Specialist for client setups.
• Communicate with partners and clients regarding billing.
• Respond to inquiries related to billing and payments.
• Establish backup support processes for coverage.
• Participate in continuous improvement of billing processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• Minimum three years of billing or account management experience.
• Experience in complex accounting analysis.
• Law firm or professional services background preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Basic accounting and math skills.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
