Overview

As a Lead Backend Engineer at LifeMD, you will play a crucial role in evolving and scaling our VPC platform by designing and implementing reliable and secure backend systems while mentoring developers.

• Lead the design and implementation of backend systems.
• Mentor developers and collaborate with product, QA, and operations teams.
• Define and enforce software development lifecycle practices.

• Ensure compliance with SOC-2 and HIPAA standards.
• Lead technical reviews and shape backend roadmaps.
• Improve internal documentation and coding standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in backend development.
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and MongoDB.
• Understanding of distributed systems and API design.
• Experience with event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS and container orchestration.
• Ability to balance architecture decisions with coding.
