Overview

The focus of the Career Consultant position is to provide individualized support and strategies for candidates in transition to help them identify career options and achieve a successful outcome. This could include a successful transition to a new position, making a career shift, pursuing an entrepreneurial path, or active retirement.

In Short

  • Assist candidates across broad spectrum of career transition needs including managing change, assessing skills and interests, defining career goals, and guiding resume development.
  • Support candidates in building confidence and creating a career marketing plan.
  • Engage, motivate, and guide candidates in utilizing resources and technology tools.
  • Demonstrate expertise in job-related technology including LinkedIn and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Help candidates connect to jobs utilizing various tools and resources.
  • Provide coaching expertise for interviews and salary negotiations.
  • Manage time and priorities related to program deliverables and candidate activity reporting.
  • Preferred 8+ years of professional expertise in Career Consulting or related fields.
  • Strong job market expertise to assess and identify fit across various industries.
  • Agility in utilizing technology tools including Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • 8+ years of professional expertise in Career Consulting or related fields.
  • Business/industry experience across diverse industries.
  • Strong job market expertise.
  • Knowledgeable of Talent Acquisition strategies.
  • Agility in utilizing various technology tools and resources.
  • Strong service orientation.
  • Able to prioritize and balance within multi-faceted roles.
  • College degree preferred.
