High energy density of battery cells is an urgent and unmet need for a wide range of industries from consumer electronics to electric vehicles. By addressing the bottleneck of the battery anode, LeydenJar can improve this by 70% in an industry that can only improve 3% per year. In Short

Internship position in Machine Learning/Data Science.
Work within the Battery R&D team.
Help develop new electrolytes to boost anode performance.
Utilize machine learning models for electrolyte formulation suggestions.
Collaborate with experienced battery scientists and data professionals.
Minimum internship duration is 6 months.
Remote work is acceptable one day a week.
Located in Leiden, Netherlands.
Open-minded, data-driven, and innovative environment.
Part of a young, international, and ambitious team.

Requirements

University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or similar.
Prior experience in programming and machine learning, ideally with Python.
Experience with SQL and GIT or willingness to learn.
Good communication skills in English.
Experience in a mechanical and/or electrical lab is a plus.
Good skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Positive attitude and full of energy.
Enrolled in a university and need to complete an internship.
Possible start date is early May.
