Overview

Join Demandbase’s Machine Learning/Data Science team as an Intern Data Scientist or Intern Machine Learning Engineer, where you will gain hands-on experience in applying machine learning (ML) and data science to real-world B2B buyer journeys.

In Short

• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets to clean, analyze, and extract insights.
• Assist in developing features to enhance model performance for ranking, recommendation systems, or ad optimization.
• Support the design and training of ML models using libraries such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Run A/B tests and analyze results to refine models and improve business outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate models into production systems.
• Stay updated on ML trends and document findings to support continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a graduate degree (PhD or Masters) in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Econometrics, or a related field.
• Experience with Python and ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy).
• Basic familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, with knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS) is a plus.
• Prior coursework or projects in machine learning, data science, recommendation systems, experimentation (A/B testing).
• Some experience with Scala or Spark is a plus.
• Experience with neural networks and generative AI is a plus.
• Passion for solving business problems with data-driven approaches.
