Overview

The Benefits & Payroll Manager is responsible for end-to-end management of payroll and benefits across multiple countries, with a core focus on the United States and Canada. You'll be the subject matter expert on payroll compliance, tax regulations, and benefits administration.

In Short

  • Manage semi-monthly and biweekly payroll cycles in the US and Canada.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal tax laws.
  • Liaise with finance for reconciliations and audit support.
  • Oversee US and Canadian benefit programs.
  • Lead benefits renewals and vendor management.
  • Maintain knowledge of employment and tax regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll and benefits.
  • Build and refine SOPs for payroll and benefits processes.
  • Partner with HRIS teams to improve data accuracy.
  • Leverage systems for automation and process efficiency.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Solid understanding of US and Canadian labor laws.
  • Experience in a global company with multi-country payroll responsibilities.
  • Proficient in payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
