Lead Decision Scientist – Credit - Remote

Overview

LemFi is a financial technology company focused on reshaping money movement for the diaspora community globally. We are seeking a Lead Decision Scientist to develop and optimize credit decisioning models, playing a key role in our lending strategy and portfolio performance.

• Lead development and maintenance of credit risk models.
• Own the end-to-end model lifecycle.
• Design and execute A/B experiments to improve approval and loss rates.

Requirements

• 5-7 years in consumer credit, data science or decision science.
• Experience building models in Python with libraries like scikit-learn.
• Strong experience with transactional datasets and bureau data.
• Deep understanding of feature engineering and data preprocessing.
• Ability to evaluate models using metrics like AUC and precision/recall.
• Familiarity with model monitoring and performance tracking.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation.
