Overview

The Compensation & Benefits Specialist is responsible for supporting payroll coordination, salary and wage adjustments, and employee benefits administration for Enterprise Management Solutions and the companies it contractually services. The role ensures that employee data in HRIS is accurate and that compensation actions are processed in alignment with internal procedures and state/federal wage laws.

In Short

  • Assist in the preparation and review of payroll data for accuracy.
  • Maintain compensation records in HRIS/payroll system.
  • Process benefits enrollments and changes.
  • Educate employees about benefits offerings.
  • Respond to payroll and benefit inquiries.
  • Monitor compliance with wage laws.
  • Reconcile benefits invoices.
  • Support reporting requirements for audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all records.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation regarding pay and benefits.

Requirements

  • Understanding of compensation policies and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency with payroll and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel and reporting abilities.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • 2 years of payroll and/or benefits experience.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of FLSA, ACA, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to pass background and reference checks.
