Overview

The Occupational Therapist II is an experienced therapist responsible for evaluating and developing treatment plans for complex patients, serving as a clinical advisor and mentor to less experienced therapists.

  • Evaluate and develop treatment plans for complex patients.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary care team discussions.
  • Mentor and supervise less experienced therapists and interns.
  • Contribute to program development and performance improvement.
  • Provide clinical instruction to occupational therapy students.
  • Lead patient care conferences and communicate treatment goals.
  • Identify and address departmental performance improvement issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal and ethical standards in practice.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives.
  • Ensure quality of care through equipment recommendations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy curriculum.
  • Minimum of two years clinical practice as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Knowledge of evaluation and treatment methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and adapt treatment programs.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising interns/students.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and performance guidelines.
  • Knowledge of equipment and vendors used in practice area.
  • Licenses: OTR - Reg Occupational Therapist and BLS - Basic Life Support.
