Overview

The Lead Preference Card Coordinator (PCC) RN provides expert support to managers and team members, addressing escalations and offering guidance and solutions. They act as an advocate for the team, translating issues to non-clinical upper management.

In Short

  • Manage an accurate, data-driven preference card system across multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure smooth OR operations.
  • Develop standard work and conduct audits.
  • Educate the team and other departments on preference card management.
  • Lead complex projects and interdepartmental performance improvement initiatives.
  • Design educational modules and manage user education.
  • Oversee enterprise-wide instrument naming and maintenance.
  • Run advanced Epic reports and address staff on incorrect templates.
  • Fill in for PCC team members as needed.
  • Promote a positive work environment through effective communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years recent intra-operative experience in an acute care OR environment.
  • At least 2 years relevant lead experience.
  • Experience with Workday ERP and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in data management and EPIC OpTime.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work positively with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn and apply new problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of Preference Cards and scheduling.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Nursing/RN - Registered Nurse required.
