GCP Cloud Operations Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Ladder engineering team is looking for a GCP cloud operations engineer to come and join us to reimagine what life insurance can be. You will work directly on our underlying infrastructure and services, leveraging both your software and infrastructure knowledge to build critical services on which customers depend.

In Short

• Design, deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Allocate and manage compute, storage and networking resources.
• Develop and implement terraform scripts to improve efficiency.
• Set up and maintain monitoring tools for GCP services.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to troubleshoot incidents.
• Monitor cloud resource usage for cost savings.
• Develop backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies.
• Implement security best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EEE or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of practical experience with cloud operations (GCP).
• Expertise in deploying and monitoring services on GCP.
• Understanding of standard Observability tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
