Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Staff/Senior Staff) - Remote

Overview

As an infrastructure engineer at Kustomer, you will be responsible for building systems and abstractions that will be used by teams across the company.

In Short

• Analyze, design, develop, maintain and improve software infrastructure and platform.
• Measure, report and drive improvements on scalability, performance, and availability.
• Lead complex projects to improve response to impaired production systems.
• Participate in cross-team initiatives to drive engineering best-practices.
• Collaborate with the InfoSec team for compliance and security automation.
• Work with various engineering teams to bridge gaps and lead initiatives.
• Become a trusted coach and mentor for technical leaders.
• Manage and coordinate security vulnerabilities and upgrade schedules.
• Lead or assist in security investigations as needed.
• Work with a tech stack including Javascript, Go, AWS, MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field.
• 10+ years experience in large scale, highly available web applications.
• Mastery of a high-level programming language like Go, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience solving scale challenges in complex distributed systems.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers through technical projects.
