Overview

The Desktop Support/IT Support Engineer will provide technical support primarily onsite in Frechen, Germany, with some flexibility for remote work. The role includes handling tickets, providing hardware and software support, and managing user accounts and access.

In Short

  • Provide L1/L2 technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Handle tickets via ServiceNow from helpdesk or self-service portal.
  • Install, move, add, and change IT equipment and software.
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and access controls.
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, and printer connectivity issues.
  • Ensure antivirus updates and assist in audits for IT security compliance.
  • Track IT inventory and manage asset disposal.
  • Provide IT orientation and training to end-users.
  • Assist in infrastructure deployments and application rollouts.
  • Occasional travel required to cover support in Frankfurt office.

Requirements

  • Multilingual support in German and English.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and IT support processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of network configurations and security policies.
  • Ability to document recurring issues and maintain a knowledge base.
  • Experience in user training and project support.
  • Strong communication skills.
