Overview

The AIS Community Development Manager will be responsible for expanding the AIS Station Owner community, enhancing maritime visibility through effective community management and engagement strategies.

In Short

  • Expand the AIS Station Owner community by identifying and onboarding new members.
  • Monitor AIS coverage and identify areas needing improvements.
  • Evaluate incoming station applications for legitimacy and prerequisites.
  • Maintain communication and support for contributors until stations are operational.
  • Implement outbound campaigns for community growth and engagement.
  • Suggest process optimizations for community management.
  • Generate content for blogs, newsletters, and lead generation campaigns.
  • Coordinate logistics with equipment providers.
  • Report on AIS network growth and coverage.
  • Provide basic technical support for AIS technology.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in Community Management or a similar field.
  • Proven track record in managing customer relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Familiarity with online community platforms and social media.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse communities.
  • Initiative-taking mindset.
  • Experience in the maritime industry or AIS technology.
  • Additional languages are beneficial.
  • Tech-friendly with reporting skills is beneficial.
  • Experience with Atlassian and Intercom is beneficial.
