Runway Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Runway Engineer position is part of the Industrial Crane and product engineering team, focusing on the structural design and support of crane runway systems. This role involves engineering and generating detailed design drawings, as well as providing expert support during installation and commissioning.

In Short

• Perform engineering calculations for crane runway structures.
• Evaluate static/dynamic strength and fatigue life of structures.
• Use analytical tools like RISA 3D for structural calculations.
• Knowledge of ASCE, IBC codes, and seismic conditions required.
• Support customers and team during installation and warranty phases.
• Assist sales during the quotation phase of complex projects.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Remote work opportunity available for candidates outside Wisconsin.
• Salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
• Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification with plans to obtain a PE license.
• 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Knowledge of ASCE, IBC codes, and seismic conditions.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and CAD programs.
• Experience with electric overhead traveling (EOT) cranes is a plus.
