Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

This role is focused on developing new and exciting products for KnowBe4’s customers in a fast-paced, agile development environment.

In Short

• Develop software using Agile methodologies.
• Recommend solutions to engineering problems.
• Provide technical direction to team members.
• Define approaches to complex technical problems.
• Translate strategic goals into operational plans.
• Coordinate across functional boundaries.
• May act as team lead for sub-projects.

Requirements

• BS or equivalent plus 8 years experience, or MS plus 3 years, or Ph.D. plus 2 years experience.
• Training in secure coding practices preferred.
• 3-5+ years managing cloud-native infrastructure in a CI/CD environment.
• 3-5+ years in a compiled programming language.
• Hands-on OOP experience (Python, C#, Rust).
• Understanding of software design patterns.
• Experience implementing REST/GraphQL based micro-services.
• Understanding of OAuth & OpenID Connect protocols.
• Able to design fault-resilient AWS/Azure infrastructure.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks like Vue3 or Svelte.
