Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the timely, complete, and accurate preparation of assigned journal entries, monthly accounting tasks and various data compilations under the direct supervision of the Controller.

In Short

• Responsible for preparing accurate journal entries and payroll entries.
• Review expenditures for capitalization and run depreciation.
• Prepare cash entries including bank deposits and credit card charges.
• Update balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate documentation.
• Compile data for external financial audits.
• Serve as primary contact for revenue payment platforms.
• Communicate professionally with co-workers and clients.
• Research and prepare reports as requested by the Controller.
• Propose efficiencies for workload improvements.
• Document departmental procedures and review semi-annually.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with accounting software like Intacct or Square.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a small department environment.
