Overview

The KIPP Foundation is seeking a Controller to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of the organization’s financial reporting and accounting systems. This role owns all core accounting functions, including the general ledger, full balance sheet management, audit, compliance, grants and revenue management, and monthly and annual financial reporting for a growing $100MM+ budget.

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and accounting systems.

• Serve as subject matter expert on nonprofit revenue recognition.
• Oversee operating cash management and liquidity.

• Support regional financial oversight and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or 10 years of equivalent experience.
• CPA designation is required; MBA preferred.
• Proven record in financial management.
• Experience with maintaining internal control environments.
• Experience in nonprofit accounting and fund accounting.
• Experience with federal funds.
• Strong management and people development skills.
