In Short

• Overseeing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) readiness and Model Audit Rule (MAR) compliance programs.
• Collaborating with business process owners to develop control activities.
• Providing guidance and training on internal control principles.
• Implementing a new Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool.
• Coordinating with external consultants for internal control framework testing.
• Managing the internal control testing schedule.
• Building relationships with various departments to foster a control-conscious culture.
• Tracking and monitoring remediation efforts for control deficiencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CIA preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in internal audit, internal controls, or public accounting.
• Deep understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
• Proven experience in designing and testing internal controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in the insurance, banking, or technology industry preferred.
• Experience with Workday and Workiva preferred.
