Special Cases Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Special Cases Coordinator will provide senior-level advisory services to the USAID Human Resources Director, managing sensitive HR matters and ensuring compliance with U.S. Government regulations.

In Short

• Manage individual RIF extension requests related to medical or exceptional circumstances.
• Handle cases involving anomalous health incidents (AHI).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for designated “special case” matters.
• Provide support for grievance casework in collaboration with the ELR team.
• Maintain case tracking systems for grievance files.
• Support ongoing performance management activities from an HR policy perspective.
• Research applicable laws, policies, and precedents for decision-making.
• Draft correspondence and decision memos related to sensitive HR cases.
• Maintain secure records of all special cases in accordance with federal requirements.
• Provide regular updates on case status and trends.

Requirements

• Experience in HR management and employee relations.
• Strong understanding of compliance and federal regulations.
