Senior Consultant - LLM & AI Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Senior LLM & AI Engineer at Kalles Group, you’ll lead the design, deployment, and optimization of AI-powered applications that incorporate large language models (LLMs). You’ll collaborate across technical and business teams to deliver innovative, scalable solutions while contributing to best practices in MLOps and AIOps.

In Short

• Develop and integrate LLM-based applications using cloud-native tools and APIs
• Fine-tune and evaluate model performance with MLOps pipelines and experimentation frameworks
• Maintain and improve AI application infrastructure using AIOps principles
• Design user interfaces and backend logic to support business-facing AI capabilities
• Ensure documentation, logging, and CI/CD standards for scalable, auditable deployments
• Explore and assess new LLMs, tools, and frameworks to inform solution direction
• Partner closely with operations, program teams, and engineering peers to identify automation and AI opportunities
• Serve as a trusted advisor and AI consultant across stakeholder groups
• Actively mentor others and contribute to a culture of technical excellence
• Stay current on AI ethics, emerging models, and NLP best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, AI, or machine learning
• Advanced proficiency in Python and modern ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras)
• Hands-on experience working with large language models and NLP concepts (transformers, tokenization, embeddings)
• Proven experience deploying cloud-based solutions in GCP, AWS, or Azure environments
• Familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen
• Understanding of ethical considerations in AI and responsible model design
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence at multiple levels
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
