US Controller - Remote

Overview

K2 Partnering Solutions is seeking a hands-on US Controller to lead and oversee all North American accounting operations while managing a small team of accounting associates. This role involves direct involvement in day-to-day accounting activities, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

In Short

• Manage all accounting functions for the US operations.
• Execute month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and distribute financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Oversee outsourced payroll function.
• Maintain the fixed asset ledger.
• Manage US cash flow and treasury activities.
• Prepare audit schedules and manage audit activities.
• Support the Finance Director in budgeting and forecasting.
• Perform additional duties as directed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience, with 3 years in a Controller role.
• Experience in designing internal controls and accounting policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to operate independently in a lean environment.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Experience working with remote teams preferred.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing environments.
