Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

As a Legal Counsel at Joko, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with laws and regulations while handling all legal matters to support its growth and international expansion.

In Short

• Partner with the Head of Legal to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Prevent litigation and handle any legal disputes that arise.
• Draft and review contracts for various aspects of Joko’s activities.
• Enhance GDPR compliance and improve data management processes.
• Oversee corporate law events and shareholder meetings.
• Manage intellectual property procedures and domain follow-ups.
• Support international expansion, particularly in the US market.

Requirements

• Master's degree from a Tier 1 law university, specialization in private law.
• 2-5 years of experience as a lawyer, preferably in a top law firm.
• Knowledge of contract negotiation, GDPR, and corporate law.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Project management skills to lead independently.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce flawless documents.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to tackle challenges.
