Overview

Turnitin is seeking a disciplined and self driven Sales Development Representative to generate and prospect sales opportunities, developing qualified leads into potential prospects.

In Short

  • Represent the Turnitin product portfolio and research potential higher education institutional customers.
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects.
  • Identify best practices to refine the company’s lead generation activities.
  • Utilise SalesForce and follow up with phone calls to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Identify prospect's needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the higher education market.
  • Set up product demonstration meetings between customers and sales account executives.
  • Report to the sales manager with results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years experience as a B2B sales development representative.
  • 2+ years of sales development experience in a SaaS and/or Ed Tech environment preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in initiating and nurturing relationships.
  • 2+ years proficiency with SalesForce or other CRM.
  • Full proficiency in English.
  • Flawless communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work solo and as a productive team member.
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
