Senior Revenue Recognition Technical Accountant - Remote

Overview

This position involves ensuring accurate revenue recognition processes within a software environment, managing month-end close activities, and collaborating with stakeholders.

In Short

• Review complex, non-standard contracts for revenue recognition.
• Coordinate auditor participation and contract sign-off.
• Capture contract review information in Salesforce.
• Prepare technical revenue accounting memoranda.
• Contribute to the close cycle with journal entries.
• Prepare monthly CFO revenue analysis.
• Resolve complex revenue accounting issues with stakeholders.
• Support revenue forecasting for the Financial Planning and Analysis team.
• Act as a revenue recognition expert in Deal Rooms.
• Assist Revenue Operations with data accuracy testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• CPA or progress towards CPA required.
• Minimum of 1 year of revenue accounting experience.
• Deep understanding of ASC606 mandatory.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Prior experience with Netsuite is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail required.
• Excellent communication skills necessary.
• Highly motivated and organized.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels.
