Applications Engineer - Remote

Overview

This position is for an Applications Engineer who will support the sales team by engaging with customer specifications, preparing proposals, and managing orders to ensure customer needs are met efficiently.

In Short

• Review customer specifications and prepare professional proposals.
• Use software to select optimal pumps and manage orders.
• Handle customer inquiries via telephone.
• Interface with vendors for equipment quotes.
• Process orders and manage arising issues.
• Liaise between operations and customers.
• Participate in sales calls with Sales Engineer.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Participate in pre-award meetings as required.
• Develop rapport with customer contacts.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office and pump selection software.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude.
• Highly organized with multitasking ability.
• Knowledge of municipal water and wastewater systems preferred.
• Knowledge of municipal tender process preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in rotating equipment, ideally pumps.
• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
