Overview

The Senior Purchasing Specialist at Oshkosh AeroTech is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities and supporting the supply chain department, ensuring efficient purchase transactions and supplier interactions.

In Short

• Coordinate purchasing activities and administration of purchase transactions.
• Develop and run reports for unacknowledged and past due orders.
• Conduct price analytics and update material cost standards.
• Support supplier business review meetings.
• Issue RFQs and manage supplier bid lists.
• Execute supplier price changes and negotiations.
• Support product launches in coordination with NPD.
• Expedite critical shortage purchasing issues.
• Train and mentor purchasing coordinators and associates.
• Support supply chain optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in Supply Chain or Purchasing.
• Ability to travel 25%.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Purchasing experience in manufacturing is preferred.
