Operating Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Operating Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and operation of electrical and mechanical systems in assigned buildings, ensuring compliance with regulations and high-quality service delivery.

• Maintain and update building operating systems information.
• Execute preventive maintenance on HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Life Safety systems.
• Respond to service requests and emergencies efficiently.
• Assist with installations and equipment replacements.
• Review contractor work quality and pricing.
• Maintain inventory of parts and equipment.
• Support operational recommendations and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and codes.
• Attend training seminars for skill enhancement.
• Promote customer satisfaction through positive interactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Universal CFC certification is mandatory.
• 4 years of experience in electrical and HVAC trades.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and use ladders up to 26'.
• Proficiency in IT tools and platforms.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively via reports and emails.
• Knowledge of office furniture systems is a plus.
