Operating Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Operating Engineer is responsible for maintaining and operating all equipment necessary for the operation of a large commercial building, ensuring that all site utilities are functional.

In Short

• Maintain and operate HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on facility systems.
• Conduct facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations.
• Utilize CMMS systems for work order management.
• Comply with safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
• Maintain logs and document equipment repairs.
• Work in a Data Center and raised floor environments.
• Available for call-in work and overtime.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards preferred.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of four years of technical experience in building engineering.
• Universal EPA / CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
• Experience working in Data Centers or raised floor environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
• Familiarity with computer applications including Word and Excel.
• Preferred: Two years of trades school or apprenticeship in relevant fields.
