Operating Engineer - Critical Facilities Technician - Remote

Overview

The Operating Engineer will manage MEP-related functions for critical facility maintenance, ensuring optimal operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

In Short

• Responsible for maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system malfunctions.
• Install and repair critical equipment including UPS systems and generators.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Document engineering logs and maintain compliance with safety protocols.
• Work independently or collaboratively in a team.
• May require weekend shifts.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
• Ensure adherence to emergency procedures and protocols.
• Train contractors on critical facility operations.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in data center or critical facility environments.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Operating Engineers license or equivalent preferred.
• Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s or Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven customer service experience.
