Facilities Operating Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Facilities Operating Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and cleaning of a large industrial utilities' facility, ensuring that all systems are functioning safely and efficiently.

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot various systems including HVAC and pumping systems.
• Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.

• Assist contractors and ensure safety standards are met.
• Work on-call and after-hours as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in utilities systems maintenance.
• Formal education in energy operations or equipment maintenance preferred.
• Boiler operator license grade 2 preferred.
• Universal Refrigerant Management certification preferred.
• Solid mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Ability to diagnose problems and make sound decisions.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Able to work on a ladder and carry up to 70 pounds.
