Overview

The Critical Facilities Operating Engineer-2 is responsible for performing and directing maintenance service requests, ensuring efficient operations of building systems, and supervising maintenance staff while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

In Short

  • Perform and direct maintenance departmental service requests.
  • Check and restore malfunctioning equipment.
  • Supervise and implement a preventative maintenance program.
  • Coordinate vendor activities and manage contracts.
  • Maintain and monitor building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
  • Prepare purchase-order requests and manage stock materials.
  • Oversee contractor activities within the building.
  • Assist in implementing Critical Performance Indicators.

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial real estate or skilled trades.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems operations.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system malfunctions.
