Atlassian Administrator - Remote

Overview

The Atlassian Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance and optimization of all Atlassian products. This role will ensure that all Atlassian products operate efficiently, meet organizational needs and support business objectives across many departments.

In Short

• Manage and maintain SAAS Atlassian tools, including Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence and related plugins.
• Monitor system performance, upgrades, licenses and ensure system availability and scalability.
• Implement and enforce governance, permissions, and security standards.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports and metrics to track and measure key performance indicators.
• Provide technical support for Atlassian users.
• Conduct training sessions and create user documentation.
• Work with department stakeholders to improve project management workflows.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with the IT security team to maintain a secure environment for Atlassian products.
• Stay informed about new Atlassian product features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 6+ years of experience as an Atlassian Administrator, with a strong focus on Jira and Confluence.
• Proven experience in customizing workflows, schemes, and dashboards.
• Experience with scripting languages, custom script writing, and automation tools (e.g., Jira Automation, Groovy, ScriptRunner).
• Experience implementing ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
• Deep understanding of Atlassian best practices and architecture.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
