Fire Engineer - Litigation Specialist - Remote

Overview

As a Fire Litigation Consultant at Jensen Hughes, you will assist and work on high profile projects and cases, specifically design and construction defects, cladding issues, etc. You will have the opportunity to be responsible for seeing a technical investigation through from beginning to end, from initially collecting the evidence on site to preparing the final technical expert witness report and ultimately giving expert evidence in Court.

In Short

• Conduct site-based investigations to record evidence.
• Review technical documentation including manuals and maintenance records.
• Consult relevant standards and regulations.
• Provide clients with preliminary advice in an understandable format.
• Prepare detailed reports for Court proceedings.
• Attend client meetings to discuss investigations.
• Collaborate with experts from other parties in litigation.
• Eventually provide expert witness evidence in Court.

Requirements

• Degree in Fire Engineering or relevant area.
• 4/5 years post-qualification experience in Fire Safety.
• Experience in building construction design related to fire safety.
• Knowledge of fire safety design codes.
• In-house experience in fire engineering or architectural firm preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Strong general construction experience.
• Enthusiasm to innovate.
• Client-facing experience with effective response to client needs.
