Finance Operations Manager - Remote

Overview

The Finance Operations Manager will be the go-to person for all operational aspects of Finance – from managing our core finance systems to ensuring compliance as we scale. You will operate autonomously as a senior individual contributor and partner closely with our Controller and Strategic Finance lead.

• Oversee core financial systems, including accounting software, billing platform, expense reporting, and payroll provider.
• Manage day-to-day finance operations to ensure smooth monthly and quarterly close processes.
• Monitor accounts payable/receivable and cash flow.
• Serve as the point person for tax and compliance matters.
• Manage corporate banking operations.
• Lead finance setup for new state or country expansions.
• Implement internal controls and policies.
• Act as a finance liaison to cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve finance operations using AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
• 5+ years in finance operations, accounting, or similar roles.
• Understanding of software business finance, including subscription billing.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and familiarity with an accounting ERP.
• Proven ability to lead projects and improve processes.
• Strong understanding of finance compliance, US GAAP, revenue recognition, and tax fundamentals.
• Acute attention to detail with the ability to analyze financial data.
• Self-starter who operates with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High ethical standards with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
