Software Operations Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Software Operations Engineer will ensure the health, performance, and reliability of enterprise applications built on Azure, .NET, and Angular, combining application support, troubleshooting, quality assurance, and light development.

In Short

• Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2/Tier 3 issues across .NET applications, integrations, APIs, and Azure services.
• Perform root cause analysis on backend services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, web apps, and SQL databases.
• Monitor application health and performance using Azure Application Insights, Log Analytics, dashboards, and workbooks.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing, and support UAT cycles for application updates.
• Validate Azure deployments, configurations, and environment health in partnership with DevOps/Infrastructure teams.
• Deliver small enhancements, bug fixes, refactoring, and API debugging within the .NET codebase.
• Support release management activities, including pre‑ and post‑release validation and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for automation, monitoring improvements, and operational efficiency using Azure services.

Requirements

• Schedule aligned with UK business hours (2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST).
• Mid‑level experience (3–5 years) with .NET and C# in production environments.
• Hands‑on experience supporting applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Experience with Azure SQL / SQL Server and writing or analyzing T‑SQL queries.
• Familiarity with application monitoring using Application Insights and Log Analytics.
• Experience executing functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Ability to debug .NET applications using various tools.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
