Expense Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Expense Analyst at J.S. Held will manage and optimize the company’s expense processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of employee expense claims while serving as the main point of contact between employees and Finance.

In Short

• Coordinate daily operations in the T&E system for expense claims.
• Validate, approve, or reject employee expense reports.
• Monitor adherence to internal T&E policies and escalate issues.
• Provide guidance on system usage and compliance requirements.
• Manage user access and configuration changes in the T&E platform.
• Generate and analyze T&E reports for trends and compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance and HR to optimize processes.
• Support Finance with expense reconciliation and reporting.

Requirements

• C1 or native Level of English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 1–4 years in travel & expense management or finance operations.
• Experience in expense management and basic accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with ERP/proprietary software; MS Dynamics is a plus.
• Strong skills in Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
• Well organized and detail-oriented.
• Flexible and able to adapt to new systems.
