Senior Data Engineer - Data & Analytics - Remote

Overview

JD Power is looking for a senior data engineer with excellent quantitative and analytical skills. Our ideal candidates are determined to use their skills to combine multiple data sources together to solve complex client questions around vehicle valuations, market readiness, and customer purchase decisions. You’ll work hands on with quantitative data to help create new capabilities, and to improve and maintain existing capabilities.

In Short

• Daily immersion in automotive industry data
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements
• Engineer robust and extensible data pipelines for new and existing products
• Design, troubleshoot, and execute repeatable data processes
• Generate valuable insights from data and package them into client-friendly interpretations
• Interact with multiple teams across the firm to implement solutions

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-time quantitative analytics experience
• Expert in SQL and Python required
• Highly skilled in ETL processes
• Experience in bringing together data sets across multiple sources
• Exposure to data analytics and statistical concepts
• Creative problem-solving skills for data issues
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Effective cross-functional communication skills
• Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
