Field Service Engineer - UK - Remote

Overview

The IONITY Operations team is looking to hire a Field Service Engineer, to provide diagnostic and technical support during the servicing of our High Power Charging Stations. This person will be travelling to our HPC sites within a defined region as needed to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair issues at our HPC Stations that are already existing; knowledge of, and comfort with these types of facilities is a must.

In Short

• Provide technical support to minimize system downtime
• Onsite root cause analysis, service, repair and maintenance actions
• Ordering and handling of spare parts for HPC stations
• Debug systems and perform remote diagnostics on field failures
• Support in developing processes and documentation for standard service actions
• Recognize trends in field failures and feedback to central team
• Work with engineering and operation teams for issue investigation
• Travel to HPC sites as needed
• Availability for off-hours calls and work
• Self-directed and organized with strong documentation skills

Requirements

• Professional certified electrician
• Switching permit for medium voltage devices
• 2-3 years of experience as a Field service technician
• Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Skilled with workplace and database software (MS Office)
• Strong ability to work independently
• Exceptional capacity for managing simultaneous activities
• Availability for travel on short notice
