Tax Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Tax Specialist will be responsible for preparing the company’s federal, state and international corporate and partnership tax workpapers as well as reviewing returns. This position will report directly to the Director of Tax and work closely with accounting, legal, and external tax consultants.

In Short

• Prepare corporate and partnership income tax workpapers
• Review returns prepared by third-party accounting firms
• Assist in preparation of tax provisions under ASC 740
• Maintain fixed asset tax depreciation calculations
• Monitor federal and state tax developments
• Assist with income and non-income tax audits
• Work with external advisors on tax projects
• Support tax due diligence and structuring
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Contribute to a flexible remote culture while attending team meetups

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-3 years of experience in corporate and partnership taxation
• Knowledge of partnership rules under Subchapter K
• Experience in solar power/renewable energy is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong background in systems and process improvement
• Willingness to work independently and proactively
• Knowledge of ASC 740 is a plus
