Overview

As part of Intersect’s Development Engineering team, you’ll guide the civil design of renewable energy projects from early-stage due diligence through Issued for Construction, focusing primarily on wind projects.

• Lead civil and structural design reviews across multiple renewable projects.
• Conduct cost and value engineering to balance performance, budget, and constructability.
• Manage survey procurement and site due diligence studies.
• Optimize layouts for efficient land use considering various constraints.
• Conduct and manage early-stage civil due diligence.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants.
• Communicate technical recommendations to stakeholders.
• 2+ years of experience in renewable energy design preferred.
• Strong understanding of civil design principles and project management skills.
• Bonus for experience in battery storage design and familiarity with automated tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in renewable energy layouts.
• Strong understanding of civil design principles and EPC standards.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Problem-solving mindset.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D is a plus.
• Master’s degree in engineering is a bonus.
