Overview

The General Practitioner Physician works as a part of the medical team, responsible for initiating resuscitation and stabilisation of patients, diagnosing and treating illnesses while collaborating with a multi-disciplined team.

In Short

• Evaluate patients brought in for assessment.
• Liaise with medical staff for continuity of care.
• Perform medical examinations to establish health status.
• Examine patients for illness and injury.
• Order, perform, and interpret test results.
• Provide follow-up care for patients as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient health information.
• Make referral recommendations to specialists.
• Coordinate healthcare plans.
• Support clinical excellence under direction from the Facility Medical Director.

Requirements

• Doctoral Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy with 1 year post-qualification experience.
• MD/DO Board eligible or certified.
• BCLS and ACLS Certificate.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
• Results-oriented and able to meet project deliverables.
• Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient IT skills including electronic medical records systems.
