Application Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Application Security Engineer will support the company-wide application security program, ensuring that security is integrated into the development processes of various software products.

• Perform design and architecture reviews for new features
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams on security best practices
• Utilize static security scanning tools and coordinate remediation
• Conduct ongoing manual security assessments
• Review external penetration test results and communicate fixes
• Provide support on application security topics

• Assist with bug bounty program

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of experience in application security
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
• Knowledge of secure coding best practices (e.g., OWASP)
• Familiarity with SDLC and DevSecOps
• Experience with static and dynamic security scanning tools
• Preferred experience with programming languages like Python
• Ability to explain security threats to developers and project managers
• Good communication skills in English
• Experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure) and containerized environments
• Participation in CTF challenges and bug-bounty programs
