Senior Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Security Engineer is responsible for providing technical and operational expertise in information security systems, principles, and practices to ensure the protection of patient health information managed by Intelerad’s Managed Service Offering (MSO), various public cloud environments, as well as any corporate IT systems.

In Short

• Participates in security architecture planning for both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
• Provides expert advice to technical teams and acts as an Information Security subject matter expert.
• Conducts security threat and risk assessments on a regular basis.
• Supports the interpretation of risk assessment results.
• Works with technical teams on the assessment and prioritization of security-related tasks.
• Participates in the incident response team as needed.
• Designs, builds, and operates key security controls and platforms.
• Leads security projects and initiatives.
• Improves the adoption of security best practices across the organization.
• Manages relationships with security vendors and partners.

Requirements

• Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in IT with at least 4 years focused on security.
• Strong sense of ownership and dedication to results.
• Team player with high levels of emotional intelligence.
• Proactive approach to spotting problems and areas of improvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO27001, SOC2.
• Advanced knowledge of security products and adversary tactics.
• Experience implementing and maintaining Microsoft 365 environments.
